Monroe Middle School has adopted a Uniform Dress Code for the 2010-2011 School Year.Uniforms are mandatory. Uniform clothing can be purchased at a variety of community stores; Target, Walmart, JC Penney and Kohls for example, at very reasonable prices. DW United is a private company that is offering the Monroe Uniform clothes with logos.
Below is a brief description of the acceptable uniform clothing. Please download a copy of the Uniform Policy for a complete list of what is acceptable and what is not. All clothing must conform to MMS uniform colors. These include NAVY, WHITE, GRAY, AND KHAKI (Solid colors only). Please note that Pants/Shorts this year are KHAKI ONLY.
- Collared Shirts: Long or short sleeve polos and/or buttoned dress shirts (undershirts, camisoles, or tank tops must also be uniform colors)
- Turtlenecks: Regular or mock turtlenecks
- Pants or Shorts: KHAKI ONLY Include Bermuda, Capri and Cargo
- Skirts: (Uniform-colored tights, leggings, or bicycle shorts under skirts are acceptable)
OUTERWEAR: All outerwear, including crew or hooded sweatshirts, must be worn over uniform shirts in in solid colors only. (Navy, Gray, White, Khaki and Black)
ACADEMIC BACKPACKS: (Solid colors only)

Families for whom the purchase of uniforms is a hardship may request assistance by contacting school administration or school secretary.
