Dr. Andrew became CUSD’s Superintendent on February 1, 2010. Previously, he was the Assistant Superintendent for Educational Services in the Glendora Unified School District since 2003. Before that, he was Director of Student Services in Redlands Unified and a Principal in Claremont Unified. He began his education career in 1979 as a teacher in Claremont.
Dr. Andrew holds a master’s in education from Cal Poly Pomona, an administrative credential from Cal State San Bernardino and a doctorate in education management from the University of Laverne. He is married and has two grown children.
He replaces Dr. Johanna VanderMolen, who retired at the end of January 2010. Campbell Union School District educates more than 7,300 students from preschool through eighth grade. Its 12 schools serve the communities of Campbell, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, San Jose, Santa Clara and Saratoga.
