We currently have one team of 6th grade girls that are preparing to compete in the Tech Challenge at the Tech Museum in San Jose, CA.  Our challenge this year is:

International Space Station Mission: Space Junk

"Your team's challenge is to design and create a device that can attach two Hall Thrusters, Size "D" Batteries will be used to represent the thrusters, to an inoperable Satellite so that NASA can force it to de-orbit and burn up upon re-entry into the Earth's atmosphere to help rid our galaxy of it's space junk."  http://techchallenge.thetech.org/
