8th Grade Exhibition - A Problem & STEAM Solution Project

As a tradition and Board-mandated promotion requirement for 8th graders in the Campbell Union School District, the exhibition 3-part project can cause excitement and anxiety.  However, this year, our students are receiving support from all of their content-area teachers and can seek guidance from their exploratory teachers as well.
In order to help your student achieve success with their exhibition, please review the exhibition schedule and talk to your student about what they’re learning about their exhibition idea.  Consult with the teacher your student is scheduled to work with during different parts of the exhibition if you have questions or concerns.
-English teachers helped students to determine their original topics.
-Science teachers are helping students research the problem and their STEAM solutions.
-Math teachers will help students to understand the statistics and mathematical data they learned during their research.
-English teachers will help the students to write their argumentative research papers.
-Social Studies teachers will help students to prepare and present their digital presentations in a slideshow format. The final presentation day will be March 1, 2018.
If you’re interested in being a volunteer exhibition panelist, please email brezzonico [at] campbellusd.org and write “Exhibition Panelist Volunteer” in the subject line, and you will be contacted in the Spring with additional information.  Thank you in advance for your volunteerism and for supporting your 8th grade student with this tremendous responsibility.
