We need your help for the Tailgate Party!

The Monroe Tailgate Party is on Friday, Oct 27, from 5:30 pm - 8:30 p.m. It will be an evening filled with fun, games, DJ music, a silent auction and so much more.  The Tailgate Party is one of the biggest fundraisers and community events of the year for Monroe. Proceeds go toward many programs at Monroe for our students (sports, music, field trips, library, science camp etc.).

This event is almost 1 month away, and we need parent helpers to help plan and organize the event. We have done this event for several years and have most of the planning process in place; we just need helpers to get tasks done. Most tasks will require just a few hours of your time and can be done with a small team of 2-3 parents to share the workload and accommodate your busy schedules.

Some of the areas where we need help are:

  • Games: 2-3 people
  • Volunteer management: 2-3 people
  • Food: 3 people
  • Popcorn/cotton candy/bake sale – 1 person each
  • After school ticket sales/event ticket sales (coordinated with Treasurer): 2-3 people
  • Staging/Set up: 2-3 people
  • Publicity: 2 people
  • Kids' raffle: 2 people
  • Crafts/activities (face paint/henna, etc)

Again, our first  planning meeting for the Tailgate Party is Wednesday, Sept 20th at 6:00 p.m. in the Monroe staff lounge.  Please come if you interested in helping or want to find out more about the Tailgate Party.
