About me:

I feel very blessed to be part of the dynamic and diverse community that is Monroe. 2017-18 will be my 22nd year in education and my 10th year at Monroe. I am happy to call Monroe home, and I am passionate about building a community in which students are supported academically, socially, and emotionally. Prior to Monroe, I was a middle school assistant principal in Santa Clara Unified School District.  Before that, I taught English at Santa Clara High School for seven years and language arts at a private middle school for two years.  Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my two children, listening to music, dancing, scuba diving, and reading.

My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment in which students can find their passions and develop their skills so they can be successful in whatever they choose to do in life.
