Our students will begin their spring state testing in May. 8th grade students will begin with the California Science Test starting May 1st. Students in grades 6-8 will begin their English Language Arts and Mathematics testing on May 8th and that runs through May 19th (excluding Wednesdays). It is very important that during these days families do their best to make sure students are at school every day and schedule appointments outside of the school day. Please check the complete schedule attached.

Encourage your Students to participate in College and Career Awareness Week.
This week we have many activities students will be able to participate in and join in conversations about plans to go to college.
Spend an afternoon doing puzzles and games (and learn some math too…).
Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival.
Bring your families and explore math in a collaborative atmosphere. Choose a table with a puzzle or game, and see if you can solve it before moving to the next table. The activities can be enjoyed by kids as young as kindergarten and as old as adulthood! All are welcome!
Create a card with a note about a favorite memory or moment that you’ve shared with a friend, family member, or teacher. Sign it as a family and drop it off at their door or at school.
The nonprofit AACI (Asian American for Community Involvement) is hosting its annual youth SLAM (Sports, Leadership, Art, Media) Conference on Saturday, April 1, 2023, from 12-4 PM.
This FREE event for Santa Clara County youth, ages 12-18, will feature a food truck, games, resource tables, and local speakers, including AACI’s Directory of Advocacy Vaughn Villaverde, Creative Producer at San Jose Earthquakes Tazio Thompson, and Artist and Founder of Martha Street Art Jessica Gutierrez.
Youth will receive a conference kit and can win raffle prizes throughout the event. Click for details.
Our partners at San Jose’s Tech Interactive are offering special admission vouchers just for our students and their families. Part of the Museums for All program, the vouchers will make general admission into the Interactive $1/person, for up to 10 tickets.
