Monroe Middle School offers competitive sports for boys and girls; the sports offered are wrestling, cross-country, soccer, volleyball, track and field, and basketball. Sports try-outs are advertised at school and on the morning announcements. 

Competitive sports at Monroe Middle School promote teamwork, inspire leadership, and improve overall physical health. Participation in our school athletics program adheres to non-descrimination laws and Board Policy 0410.*

Current and upcoming sports:

Tryouts for boys' volleyball and girls' soccer begin Monday, August 28, from 3:00 - 5:00 pm.  Practice for coed Cross Country is also on Monday from 3:00 - 5:00 pm. 

Sports Seasons/schedules:

  • Cross Country (coed)/Boys' Vollyball/Girls' Soccer = Aug. 24 - Oct. 20
  • Wrestling (coed) = Oct. 3 - Dec. 16 Unfortunately, due to lack of coach, the wrestling season has been cancelled.
  • Girls' Basketball = Oct. 17 - Dec. 16
  • Boys' Basketball = Dec. 5 - Feb. 16
  • Girls' Volleyball/Boys' Soccer = Feb. 5 - Mar. 31
  • Track and Field (coed) = Mar. 27
