Donations of “gently used” books are accepted, subject to need and appropriateness of material. If you wish to donate new, age- appropriate award winners and classics are always appreciated, as are up-to-date non-fiction, and educational magazines.

The library is consistently supported by the PTA and cash donations may be made to them in the name of the library.

State assessment reports to be released in the fall August 26, 2015 - 4:43pm

Officials from the State of California will be releasing scores from the State’s new testing system in September, not August, as originally planned.

“We are taking an abundance of caution to ensure that the substantial amount of data we are receiving is properly collected and placed in new files on a new site,” said Department of Education spokeswoman Pam Slater. “Additionally, the department will be launching a new website to display the results and needs sufficient time to test the new site.”

New Immunization Law Takes Effect January 1st October 20, 2015 - 9:22am

Starting January 2016, new incoming students or those students transitioning from elementary to middle school will no longer be able to provide a personal belief statement or religious exemption for immunizations.

Under the 2015 Senate Bill 277, there is provision for “grandfathering” students who currently have a statement of belief or religious exemption until they reach their next vaccination checkpoint – kindergarten or 7th grade.  A licensed physician can exempt students from immunizations.

Each year our teachers administer several assessments to determine student growth and inform their classroom teaching practice. These assessments—tests, quizzes, class projects, and the like—provide multiple ways to measure student progress towards learning the important concepts they need for success in school and in the community at-large.

In Campbell Union School District, we encourage parents and students to walk or bike to school every Wednesday. For those who live too far, try parking farther away from the school and walking the last block or two.

Monroe, District earn grant to expand nutrition and fitness December 10, 2015 - 11:39am

Monroe hosted a special event this week that included San Francisco 49ers players, cheerleaders and California dairy industry representatives. The reason: Campbell Union School District received a $10,000 Hometown Grant to expand nutrition and physical fitness activities.
