Monroe, District earn grant to expand nutrition and fitness

Monroe hosted a special event this week that included San Francisco 49ers players, cheerleaders and California dairy industry representatives. The reason: Campbell Union School District received a $10,000 Hometown Grant to expand nutrition and physical fitness activities. 

Pictured here are the presenters raising a glass of milk in honor of the students who will benefit from the program.Hometown Grant supports in-school nutrition and physical activity through Fuel Up to Play 60 program. The program has many benefits for our student body and is a great way for our students and community to learn the best ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
