Leadership

Students will have the opportunity to develop leadership skills through a variety of experiences including planning and evaluating events, organizing schedules, personal evaluation, and community service.  Students will be assigned to a team and responsible for putting on at least one related event per trimester and two-week job assignments.  In addition, individuals can take on any special project in which they are interested.  Students are encouraged to assist other committees when needed.  Each student will be required to perform at least six additional (out-of class) activity hours and three community service hours.  Students in this class will also have opportunities to see other leadership styles through field trips to see a Del Mar pep rally, downtown city leadership and teaching/leading activities in the local elementary school.
