We are excited to be coordinating our 3rd annual Giving Week. This year we are collecting essentials to support Sacred Heart Community Services. Items should be brought to school during the week of November 28th. Bins will be in the front office and students can bring items to their first-period classes for the event. EVENT: Monroe Goodwill Donation and E-Waste Fundraiser
WHEN: Sunday, November 13, 2022
TIME: 9am - 2pm
LOCATION: Monroe Middle School - in the front parking lot.
All donations are tax-deductible and go to Monroe PTA. Come by with your unwanted household items and we will help you unload your car.
Goodwill accepts books, clothing, shoes, household items, computers, TVs, small kitchen appliances, DVDs, VHS, glassware, linens, microwaves, computer monitors, and many more.
Goodwill will NOT accept furniture, mattresses, large appliances, carpeting, hazardous materials, etc. Please help us make this fundraiser a success!
Red Ribbon Week is the largest nationwide drug use prevention campaign in the United States dedicated to informing students about the risks posed by drug use and encouraging them to live a healthy and fulfilling drug-free life. Since tobacco use and vaping are some of the greatest concerns regarding middle school students, Monroe student leaders are preparing a series of videos regarding this theme that will be shown during homeroom each morning. We will also have other events and contests and at the end of the week, all students will be asked to sign a pledge to live drug-free. Every student who signs the pledge and those who participate in events and contests will have an opportunity to win prizes. Please see our guides linked below.
Here at Monroe Middle School, we work with many community organizations to support our school and the greater community. Each year we collect feedback from our families to share with our community partners to better help determine what programs and services we offer at our school. Parent Teacher Conferences are next week. The school will dismiss every day next week at 12:33 PM. 6th grade families, please contact the teacher if you want to meet. 7th and 8th grade families will be meeting in the gym as a drop-in during conference hours.
