Join us as we honor and celebrate Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a meaningful tradition that remembers and celebrates the lives of loved ones who have passed.

During this time, students and staff are invited to experience and learn about the cultural significance of the holiday, including the beautiful tradition of creating ofrendas (altars) filled with photos, marigolds, candles, and personal offerings that represent love and remembrance.

Visit our school altar to reflect, learn, and appreciate the rich cultural traditions that honor family, memory, and community.

🌼 What Students May See at the Altar:
• Photos of loved ones
• Marigolds (cempasúchil)
• Candles representing light and guidance
• Favorite foods or meaningful items
• Papel picado decorations

🎨 Student Participation Opportunities:
• Add a remembrance note or name (if appropriate)
• Learn about the meaning of each altar element
• Create paper marigolds or artwork
• Participate in cultural lessons during lunch

This celebration is a time of respect, reflection, and appreciation for the traditions that help families honor their loved ones across generations.
