Olympic Start to the School Year
Leadership students help set an exciting tone for the year with an Olympic themed pep rally
If Friday's pep rally is any indication, the Monroe school year is off to an exciting start. With the recent Olympics in Paris as inspiration, the theme of the pep rally was "Let the Games Begin." This all school event started with the traditional grade level cheers and included the expected 8th grade rumble. A video showed the Olympic "flame" and its journey from Dr. Viramontez's office to Monroe with Ms. Radle "lighting" the flame at the rally. The excitement continued with student vs. staff competitions with the students getting the slight edge. Both students and the Monroe staff were engaged and seemed to have great time. Monroe TOSA Brenda Rezzonico shared, "Thanks to all that planned and participated in the pep rally. What a great way to start off the school year." Indeed...Let the games begin!
