Family Message
A few updates from our Principals
Dear Monroe Families,
We hope you are well. We acknowledge that this summer was not like summers past, but we hope you have had time to relax and connect with family. We know that there are lots of questions and unknowns for the upcoming school year. This is new for all of us. At Monroe Middle School we are focused on ensuring connectedness, clarity, and compassion for our students, families, and staff.
School Schedule
We appreciate everyone’s patience as we continue to work out all the details for our Distance Learning scheduling. There are a lot of elements and we want to communicate the most complete and accurate plan. More information to come.
School Site Council Members Needed
We are looking for parent/guardian volunteers who would be willing to join our School Site Council. This is an elected position, the term is two years, and we have three openings. The School Site Council provides feedback and input into school programming and budgeting. If you are interested please email Ms. Radle with a brief personal introduction.
School Uniforms
At the end of last year, we finalized the process to no longer have school uniforms. For the 2020-2021 school year, we will have a dress code policy. The details of the policy will be in the student handbook. This policy will be aligned with district expectations and guidelines.
School Start Date Change
The first day of the 2020-2021 school year has been moved to Monday, August 24th.
As always we are here to answer your questions. We appreciate you and your support for our school.
